Opera NUOVA invites elite artists from across this nation to unite in May and June sharing three tales of “Love and Marriage”.
Come Discover…
SOMETHING OLD: The Marriage of Figaro – 2011 marks the 225th birthday of one of Mozart’s greatest creations!
SOMETHING NEW: The Light in the Piazza – Opera NUOVA’s first ever musical theatre production. This 6 time Tony Award Winning Musical is often described as neo-romantic classical music which is truly unforgettable.
SOMETHING BORROWED: RUSALKA – Once again NUOVA endeavours to produce one of the most famous Czech operas. Dvořák’s lyric opera is based on Slavic mythology and will tell a well known story of love and heartbreak.
SOMETHING BLUE: We won’t be singing the blues but there is lots of eclectic music at our enlightenment events in the historic concert hall of the Old Arts Building featuring Classic Broadway, traditional sacred music, and romantic song soirees.
Let us ignite the passion that lives within you, as we breathe life into some of the greatest compositions of the vocal arts!
